April is World Autism Month (WAM). At Autism Speaks Canada, we're committed to creating a kinder, more inclusive world for people with autism across the lifespan. Our annual Spring online auction is an important project that provides vital funding for our priority program needs and mission objectives. Autism affects an estimated 1 in 50 children and youth in Canada and 1 in 44 in the US today. Autism Speaks Canada is a leading national charitable organization dedicated to creating an inclusive Canada for all autistic people throughout their lifespan. We have five mission objectives which include providing equitable access to reliable information, supporting research and innovation, advocating, and collaborating to extend the work of community partnerships, accelerating solutions to advance quality of life needs for autistic adults, and promoting principles of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access (IDEA).
